When Places That Aren’t Used To Getting Snow Get Snow
I’ve been in Winnipeg for just over a year now and have adjusted to the winters pretty well, BUT I grew up in BC where winter is pretty much non-existent. At least normally.
This year has been an anomaly. BC is getting dumped with snow.
In Chilliwack, they got over 80cm of snow since Friday. To put that in perspective, their average yearly snowfall is 85cm.
One guy decided to make the best of it, and actually took his snowboard for a rip through the streets.
On Vancouver Island, one man was so frustrated that his street hadn’t been cleared that he bought a zamboni to clear his street. I decent idea, but he basically ended up turning his road into an ice rink.

I almost feel bad for them. But then I remember how much all my friends joked about “Winterpeg” when I moved here and then I say…”this is karma”.
