This is a sight you will only see ONCE a Year!

The FORKS will hear the cries of “PADDLE-UP “, signifying Cancer Cares’ massive Dragon Boat Festival is underway. Fun to watch and even more fun to be a team member, paddling to raise funds for Cancer Research. Organizers hope thousands will gather along the River Walk by Esplanade Riel from Friday night through Sunday to cheer on the teams. We can also stop by the Kick Cancer booth to win prizes or have a photo taken with a special UV camera. Champions will be crowned Sunday afternoon.

While Cancer can touch anyone, some of the most tragic instances involve children and adolescents who are treated at Cancer Care and Children’s Hospital. ALL funds donated by the Dragon Boaters will stay in Manitoba, invested for these Kids to ensure they have access to the very best care and support.
