This blog is for the kids. So parents, please do not read this. I appreciate your cooperation. Kids, when you’re filling out your holiday wish list, is a puppy at the top of your list? Have you been asking for a dog for years and years, and your mom and dad keep saying no? Then they told you to write something else down, but you really really just want a dog? Well, later on today, look at your mom and dad and say, “mom, dad, we HAVE to get a dog!”. Make sure to really enforce the “have” part. And when they say “why do we have to get a dog”, you reply, “so you live longer…and I love you mommy and daddy, and I want you to live forever”. This will be the best guilt trip ever, and it may just work! Oh, and more importantly, it’s true too! Thanks to our friends in Sweden, a study was done that says owning a dog can decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease by 36 percent, and it decreases passing in general by 33 percent! That is a big number! Apparently, dogs keep you healthier and more active…either with walks, or in my case, following a shedding dog with a broom in one hand and a vacuum in the other. Best of luck with your new puppy!!
