Another Wonderful Winnipeg Happening!

Get the skates! The Forks has just announced extension of the River Trail. Last week ice on the Assiniboine was opened from Osborne to the Forks. Today, the Red River becomes another section where we can skate or stroll all the way to Churchill Drive ; together a distance of  6kms. Both skating trails have convenient walking trails beside each other and all are groomed everyday. Smaller rinks have been created along the way, ideal for families with little ones. Besides River-ice activities there’s a one kilometer, lit skating trail on land.Tobogganing , Crokicurl , Horse drawn wagon rides , Indigenous Storytelling and Skating under the Canopy are available too and FREE! Skate rentals and a warm place to lace ‘em up makes it convenient for a wonderful family outing.
