When you say Dancin’ Gabe you say WINNIPEG! 55 TODAY!

Just saying the name, DANCIN’ GABE makes you smile ! Gabriel Langlois celebrates another Birthday!!He’s 55!!

Many don’t know but Gabe never walked until three and didn’t speak until much later. If it wasn’t for a nun who took him under her wing , he may have ended up in an institute or foster home. Thanks to her . Gabe learned to read and  write and before long at age 10 began to talk. When Gabe was 21 his father died and that hit the future dancer pretty hard. In order to lift his spirits , his brothers took him to a bomber game . When the music started Gabe began to dance. Fans and media took notice and as they say, “the rest is history”

Today after years of  Dancin’ at Bombers , Moose, Goldeyes  and Jets  games Winnipeggers  have  taken him to  heart. He’s become an institution and we all love him for it. Happy belated birthday Dancin’ Gabe. YOU are  what helps make Winnipeg Special
