Valentines Day! A very Pricey 24!

You don’t have to be in love to know that Valentines Day has become a major event in Canada. As it turns out you can put a price on love! Courtship can be pricey. A recent on-line survey showed  Canadians who are dating spending on average , 760 dollars over the course of a year . Savings destination web-site RetailMeNot.ca , bases this on everything  from getting dolled up , dinner , drinks and gifts for that special Throb. More than a third of single and seeking Canadians say they must save and set aside a portion of their budget to just  support a dating life.

Valentines Day alone will see an average of 170 dollars spent. Those in longer older relationships spend less today. Those in new relationships spend more and most feel the first Valentines together receives the biggest celebrations an a BIGGER  Bill. Findings’ for today; Jewelry- $176 / Clothing-$86 / Flowers – $36 / Lingerie – $ 82 and Chocolate at $35.By the way a majority of Canadians believe women are more spoiled today while three quarters polled say men are less excited to celebrate.
