ACM Nominees Announced
The nominations for the 2018 Academy of Country Music Awards were announced this morning, with Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett walking away as this year’s most-nominated artists.
Stapleton racked up a pack-leading five nods, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for From a Room Vol. 1, Single of the Year for “Broken Halos,” and Song of the Year for “Whiskey and You.”
Rhett came in second with four nominations: Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for Life Changes, Video of the Year for “Marry Me,” and Vocal Event of the Year for his Maren Morris collaboration, “Craving You.” Meanwhile, Urban was recognized for Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year; he also picked up a Vocal Event of the Year nod for his song “The Fighter” featuring Carrie Underwood, while his song “Female” scored a Song of the Year nomination for writers Ross Copperman, Nicolle Galyon and Shane McAnally.
And a huge congratulations to HIGH VALLEY our good Canadian boys Brad and Curtis Rempel are nominated for New Vocal Duo or Group.
Reba McEntire announced the nominees in several categories on CBS This Morning, where she also revealed that she would be returning to host of this year’s ceremony.
The 2018 ACM Awards will take place on April 15 and will air live from Las Vegas on CBS beginning at 7 p.m. CT. Here is the complete list of this year’s nominees:
