The 7th annual Worst Roads Campaign is underway ! What’s yours?
I’ve just had my Spring-change over for my Honda Civic. Oil, filter, tire rotation, brakes checked etc., so I felt great about heading out of the dealership. Then I hit the road and all the elation changed. Welcome to Spring and the famous POT-HOLE Season!
Today we have a chance to complain in CAA’s annual Worst Roads Campaign. It’s the seventh annual month long awareness event allowing us to vote online and draw attention to the most derelict and unsafe routes. They encourage us to use the website to vote for our nominee at https://caaworstroads.com/manitoba
CAA offers some suggestions when voting:
1.-Potholes/crumbling pavement.
2.-Traffic congestion.
3.-Timing of Traffic lights.
4.-Poor road signs or road markings.
5.-Pedestrian/cycling safety.
At the end of the campaign reports of votes are distributed to city, municipal and provincial leaders for review. Chevrier Blvd., Empress street, Pembina Highway and Fermor avenue made last year’s TOP 4! Vote everyday for the road you think deserves the Top DISHONOUR.
