Every day , it becomes the most important appliance in the house!
We’re talking Toilets Today ! Reliance Home Comfort sent a very important message about Toilets and here’s what it says….. TOILETS are not trash compactors. Many items which seem harmless should not go down the loo! Have you been guilty??
FLUSHABLE/baby-wipes : These items are incorrectly labelled because they don’t disintegrate like toilet tissue and end up clogging toilets and sewer pipes. NO so called Flushable baby wipes.
CELL phones: one in 5 accidently drop their phones during the flush so don’t be using when using the toilet. Phones do not flush and bring an expensive plumbing bill to have them removed.
DENTAL floss; I’ve always flushed floss but this is also a no-no. Experts tell us it’s not bio-degradeable and bunches up.
CONDOMS: always dispose in the trash, because they do not degrade and collect other debris making clogging even more possible.
HAIR: we see hair clog up the sink and tub drains so why not the toilet? Hair forms balls and clogs causing odors. Pet hair especially bad.
COTTON Swabs and cotton balls are so small and innocent but they too collect in the pipes affecting flow to the sewer.
Small FISH and pets: People actually flush these items but there’s no way they will disintegrate.
CIGARETTE Butts: I always flush these but despite their small size , they don’t flush easily.
KITTY Litter: Don’t flush this stuff because it’s made to clump in contact with moisture, so when it hits the bowl it begins clumping and stops up the toilet.
So in the END , no pun intended, check the product and know that when you “GO” , it’s gone for good…now let’s have some fun with Mr. Bean!!
