The MINT unveils The Falcon Lake U.F.O. Encounter.
A 1967 UFO Encounter in Falcon Lake woods is being recognized with a special silver coin released by Winnipeg’s Royal Canadian Mint. The UFO story documented in a book titled, When They Appeared.
The event splashed across pages of the former Winnipeg Tribune, told the story of Stefan Michalak who was in the wilderness prospecting, when he made the encounter. Believing it might be a secret U.S Military Craft, as shown in his sketch above , he noticed a Sulphur smell , whirring motors and an open door on the side with bright lights inside. Touching the craft melted his glove. As the craft began turning ,a panel with grid holes blasted him with gas setting his clothes on fire , and leaving burn markets on his stomach!
The Encounter, still considered Canada’s best-documented UFO case is recognized by this coin which has special technology to enhance the component. A black flashlight is included to give it an out of this world glow. Coin collectors and UFOlogists will be lining up to buy the piece priced at 129.95.
