Dirty – Filthy River Banks NO MORE!

The Great Manitoba Shoreline Cleanup is underway. Last Friday 10 teachers and 130 students from Churchill Collegiate went out to The Red River Shoreline nearby and cleaned up enough garbage to fill 200 Bags last Friday.Today (Tuesday- June 5th) , you’ll see volunteers cleaning the banks near Whittier Park in St. Boniface
Wednesday more will gather to help clean up and beautify our city by working along the Assiniboine River near the Donald Street Bridge, gathering debris left over from the winter. The Water Program and Manitoba Environmental Youth Network have combined to get more on board cleaning Winnipeg’s Shoreline.
