The Adventures of a First Time Truck Owner: THE DUMP!
DUMP TRIPS ARE SO MUCH EASIER WITH A TRUCK! I meant to put that in caps, because it’s extremely important to me. About five months ago, a new egress window was installed into my basement, which meant there was a ton of leftover dirt outside of the house. The only way to get rid of it at the time, was to load it all into the back of my CRV and take the dirt to Brady Landfill. IT TOOK FOUR TRIPS TO GET IT DONE! FOUR! Whereas yesterday, I managed to empty out my entire garage in just one haul. How I wish I had this beauty four months ago. Although I will say that I became pretty good pals with the guy operating the front gate at Brady Landfill…”Hey dirt guy, back with some more dirt?”.
The other fun adventure I recently had, was swinging by a brewery to pick up a keg of beer for my cousin’s stag. I’ve quickly realized that there is no need for cases anymore. Go big or go home. A month and a half in of having the Chevy Colorado from Birchwood Chevrolet Buick GMC has made me realize that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to give the truck back. When the time comes for the staff to come and get it, there’s a good chance I’ll have my hands duct taped to the steering wheel.
