Album Review

'80s Country: 1980-1982 is a perfect selection of country-pop. Eddie Rabbitt's "I Love a Rainy Night" and Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" both spent time at the number one spot on Billboard's Top 40 pop charts in 1980. Juice Newton, the Oak Ridge Boys, Don Williams, Johnny Lee, and Terri Gibbs all spent time on the pop charts from 1980-1982. This album represents the trend of country/pop crossover singles that dominated both country and pop charts in the early '80s.
