I've been lucky enough to have travelled to the Carribean and South America.It's everything one would expect .Vibrant,happy and fun. The  Climate surely helps when you come from a place like  WINNIPEG. Even so , our ever popular EAST EXCHANGE  district  is  set  to celebrate this Friday and Saturday evening with a definite Carribean  flavour..they claim it will be a STREET PATIO like  no other....a promise of live music-great food-and dance.Organizers  are calling it WINNIPEG's First  Carnival Street party. The street is Bannatyne between Waterfront and Rorie. Stage entertainment begins each  evening  at 7pm.Of course ,the street will be closed  to traffic, making  way  for tables ,chairs and room to  Salsa, Samba or  just  shake  your  booties! There will be a main stage along with three extended patios for people to enjoy. Among the musical acts are Mariachi Ghost and Marco Castillo and band.Winnipeggers can expect to see and hear high energy dances and music by local artists.

If the forecast holds true , it'll be a warm summer evening and the atmosphere should be as close  to the Carribean as it can get for our  city!.....lov    koz
