Thank you is never enough!
Did you take part in the Terry Fox Run yesterday ? I had the pleasure representing QX104 at the annual event in SELKIRK yesterday and as usual the fabulous volunteers did wonders on a cool cloudy day.
Organizing an event like this is HUGE! It requires many hours to get prizes for the Silent Auction.....The good people from the local LEGION came out to Bar B Que lunch while the Legion ladies handed out refreshments ......every table was laden with fruit so runners, walkers and riders could re-energize....local baked goods were on sale as were TERRY FOX T-shirts.....Several teachers from local area schools were there to help with the face-painting,(I had a sun painted on my cheek)......Mascots from the fire department, local Steelers Hockey Team and Newspaper were all there , delighting the youngsters....thanks to the music man Bob Sommerfeld and his business called "Sommerfeld Sound"....remember him if you need a music man for your wedding, social or any other musical needs ...he's always been there for the Terry Fox Fundraising committee...thanks BOB....the Scottish Bag Piper who kicked off the ribbon cutting and all those who looked after the route including the RCMP!To those we missed , know
Thanks to all the survivors who came out to lend support at registration ......Thanks to everyone for their stories of Pain and Hope.......Thanks Selkirk helping make Terry's Dream come true....Thanks SELKIRK for a job well done ! Someday the Pain must STOP!.... Love Koz.
