"Heartstrings" , is the title of The Ronald McDonald House Update magazine and what a great  read  it  is....Flipping through it today , i realized  what a GIFT , Ronald McDonald House has become to our city.   As the brochure states:

"Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for  families of patients at Children’s Hospital. We offer a warm, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay for out of town families so they can be closer to their children during difficult times."

Thanks to this summer's supporters like McCain Foods,Cargill,The Rotary Club of Winnipeg ,Karaoke For Kids,The Winnipeg Jets Foundation , and  funds  raised through the many golf tourneys,  324  families  were served in the House that Love Built.This year alone , Ronald McDonald House accommodated families for over 2100 nights, saw over 15,000 guests  through the doors of the Family Room at Children's Hospital .

Across the street from the house is Hugh John Macdonald School , where this summer a special mural was unveiled honouring the House ,to make it part of history.

Many DONATIONS, came from other organizations and individuals through cash  and in-kind , which allows Ronald McDonald House to do what it does.....opening it's doors to  families with  children  from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, NW ontario, North Dakota and Minnesota.
