Bye Bye Winter

As difficult as things can be at times, the promise of Springtime never fails to bring a smile to my face. I love watching winter melt away and seeing nature re-awaken for what promises to be another beautiful Manitoba summer. Over the weekend, I actually awoke to the sound of chirping birds for the first time this year. I love that! It makes waking up so much easier to take. The next hurdle is actually making it out to the cottage. It's always great to get back in there and make sure everything's still standing, and ready to go. I cannot wait for those lazy summer days.....our big plan this year is to buy a canoe. It always looks so peaceful when people are gliding atop the water in the mornings. Just you and a few loons.....to me that sounds like bliss. I realize we are still a few months off....but you can almost see summer from here...and it sure looks great!
