Fun In The Sun

Well, off I go to yet another Dauphin Countryfest. I know it's the Festivals 20th year. Can't recall exactly what year this one is for me. I do know that it is the first trip out for the boyfriend Anthony. I always find it interesting to take in events such as this through a pair of fresh eyes. A self-proclaimed "metal-head", I have watched him slowly discover the world of country over the past couple of years. I never dreamt the day would come when he would be tapping his toes along with Dierks Bentley or dialling up Doc Walker on our Ipod. However, both have taken place. The thing I find wonderful about Countryfest is that even with all of the people and all of the beverages around, I have seldom seem any incidents of trouble. Not a scuffle, or any kind of confrontation that would have a scaredy cat like me running for the hills. It really does seem to be about having fun and listening to some great music for a couple of days. Although I'm sure it cannot compare to the much anticipated AC/DC experience of next month, I suspect my sweetheart will be pleasantly surprised.
