Driving into the sunset on a gravel road with the windows down and a trail of dust behind you on a summer evening is one of Chrissy Troy's favorite things.
"Growing up on a farm in Arborg, I learned at a very young age that the house had to be absolutely quiet when the livestock market reports came on the radio and you were not to misplace "The Co-operator" because it was required reading."
Sheer pins and Mastitis were a part of Chrissy's vocabulary at a young age. At the same time Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Kitty Wells and George Jones were also very well known around the house.
"I still remember where I was the day I figured out what "He stopped Lovin' her today" was all about. I was about 8 years old and so proud of the fact that I put it together without any help from anyone."
These days Chrissy re-lives all the songs she grew up with on Retro Country Saturday mornings at 6 and Sunday evenings at 6.
