“Sure….when pigs fly”
Have you ever agreed to something, thinking the chances of it happening were so remote that you’d never actually have to follow through on your promise?
On Sunday, when the Falcons were up 21-0 on the Patriots, Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard, was pretty confident that they would win.
@geniebouchard if patriots win we go on a date?

As the game went on and the Patriots launched their comeback, Bouchard started to realize, there was a really good chance she would have to go through with her promise.
@geniebouchard Chicago. Go to school in Missouri. We can go on a date where ever you want!

And the Patriots did come back, and Genie is a woman of her word, she is going to go on a date with this guy. Even if she only said she would because she never thought she would have to.
Another story I saw out of Alberta is kind of the same. John McPhee from Slave Lake told his wife he would built a multi-coloured igloo that she saw on Pinterest, IF she was able to acquire the 500 milk cartons needed to build it.
A pretty safe bet right? Where was she going to get 500 milk cartons? She managed to collect them in just 10 days!
McPhee was true to his word and started building. He cut a template out of plywood to use as a guide, and started freezing bricks of water with food colouring in it. In all it took him 120 hours to build. Read more about it HERE.
For today’s #QX104AtWorkSocial, let’s talk about the things you said you’d do, never thinking you’d actually have to.
