The collaboration happened because, in an interview, when asked which other artists they’d want to work with, FGL’s Brian Kelly said The Chainsmokers. A week and a half later, they got a call from the duo about the song Last Day Alive but it had to be completed in 48 hours to meet a deadline.
FGL’s Tyler Hubbard said “It was really fun, learning and growing and pushing ourselves both vocally and with different parts and harmonies that we’ve never sung before.”
The song appears on The Chainsmokers new album Memories…Do Not Open, which came out on Friday.
Here it is! What do you think?
So proud to be on @spotify #newmusicfriday with #LastDayAlive and @thechainsmokers #MDNO 🙌🏼
