A motorist in Quebec was pulled over Sunday night for driving without working brake lights, but it turns out that was the least of his vehicle’s problems.
On Tuesday, police in Val-des-Monts shared pics on Facebook showing the 28-year-old driver had also replaced his car’s suspension with a wooden log and some chicken wire held together with a pin. “It was basically keeping the vehicle up,” Sgt. Martin Fournel tells The Ottawa Citizen about the makeshift suspension.
The driver was also missing his windshield wipers and was driving with an open container of alcohol, although he did pass a sobriety test. All in all, he was socked with a $481 ticket for various infractions.
