Find Out When All The Movies Are Coming
Disney has gone crazy with release date announcements this morning.
From the last Star Wars movie, to Indiana Jones, the live action Lion King, and even a sequel to one of their biggest animated projects, if you love movies chances are there’s something on this list for you!
First up, “Star Wars: Episode IX”. The final Star Wars movie (until they decide to make another one) will hit theatres May 24, 2019. AND, the fifth “Indian Jones” film, which was pushed back from July 19, 2019 to July 10, 2020. Both Steven Spielberg, who directed every other film in the franchise, and Harrison Ford will return.

Kids will be crying tears of joy, and parents will just be crying when a sequel to “Frozen” hits theatres on November 27th, 2019. Although hopefully your little Frozen fan will have aged out of loving Elsa by then.

Disney also announced a couple other release dates for upcoming animated films. “Gigantic” based on the fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk, was moved from the Thanksgiving spot in 2018 to Nov. 25, 2020. Finding a home in 2018 is the “Wreck-It Ralph” sequel, which will be taking “Gigantic”‘s spot Nov. 21, 2018. And a 4th Toy Story movie will be hitting theatres in June 2019.
And making the leap from animated to live action is The Lion King. Following the success of “The Jungle Book”, the live-action “The Lion King” is slated for July 19, 2019.
Ava DuVernay’s “A Wrinkle In Time” is being pulled from its original date, Apr. 6, 2018 to an earlier release of Mar. 9, 2018.
And last but not least, “Captain America” fans can start counting down to August of 2019, the latest in the Marvel franchise will be out on August 3rd.
