How are you helping make this a Clean – Air Day in Winnipeg ?
How are you getting to work this week? Today is day 4 in National Environmental Week’s annual Commuter Challenge , when Winnipeggers are asked to make it a GREEN Commute. Today was Clean Air Day on the Osborne Bridge.
Volunteers made it even better for those who used cycling , skateboarding , skating , jogging or walking over the bridge as their mode . Coffee and donuts treats were handed out . Assiniboine Park will see hundreds of students gather at the Lyric Theatre , to wrap up Bike to School Month too . A bike parade around the park will end the day there.
The Commuter Challenge continues through Saturday , so you can still take part. Be sure to log your green k’s throughout the week for a chance to win prizes. Here’s the link https://commuterchallenge.ca/commuter-challenge-and-how-it-works/ . Check out the amazing prizes then do as I do. Shun your vehicle for a few days and come to work in a sustainable way . I Ride a BIKE . Believe me , you’ll feel better and so will the environment.
