Winnipeg’s BIGGEST Party happens Saturday!
WINNIPEG lets its’ hair down this Saturday for our country’s 150th.Canada’s major milestone. Celebrating will be on everyone’s mind and the city is ready. Thousands dressed in RED will start the day at portage and main to form a Living Canadian Flag
The FORKS will see massive crowds all day to enjoy entertainment on three stages; The symphony just one of many musical acts to perform. Finding a spot for the gigantic fireworks display won’t be easy but it’ll be worth it.
OSBORNE shuts down Friday night from River to McMillan . It’s the kilometer long Osborne Village Street Festival. Expect plenty of entertainment, extended patios to relax on and a movie night .
ASSINIBOINE Park will be jumping for the annual Canad Inns Family Fun day beginning at 1pm. Much music, many events,family activities and of course Fireworks set to Music. FREE Cake to be served at 330pm. Parking will be a problem , so best take the bus.
THE ZOO will host special events as well including the Dinosaurs, Polar Bears and daily zoo talkers.
ST.NORBERTS’ Farmers’ Market will stay open for 12 hours , adding extra entertainment , activities and Fireworks to end the day.
ST.BONIFACE Museum and Ft. Gibraltar , where Festival du Voyageur is held , will hold demonstrations and activities for the whole family. Free Admission too. Not far away on The Esplanade , at the Cathedral and Promenade Café they’ve planned more entertainment and events.
TRANSCONA also plans some special fun at it’s new Aquatic Center , a Canada Day Festival starting at noon with cake , Ukrainian Dancing, Indigenous Drumming and plenty of kid’s entertainment.
SINCLAIR and Crescent Park community clubs will also hold Fireworks at dusk.
In addition , The Canadian Museum for Human Rights , Tower of Hope , will be lit RED in honour of Canada’s big birthday. Will you be ready to sing our National Anthem! If so , be LOUD and Proud.
