A First of it’s kind, ” Confidence Workbook For Kids “
CONFIDENCE! What a powerful word. The dictionary describes it this way… “a feeling of trust and firm belief in yourself or others.” A survey by Canada’s Public Health Agency showed 35% of girls in Grade 6 say they feel confident but drops to 14% by Grade 10. For boys, it’s 47% in Grade 6, then dropping to 24% by Grade 10.
U of M Grads, Andrea and Allison have launched the first ever, Confidence Workbook for Kids. Armed with degrees in Psychology, the two women are on a mission to empower children. After listening to parents involved in their Girls Empowerment Events, they saw a major need for confidence building to help kids.
The Confidence Workbook allows kids to look at what they love about themselves as well as an inside view for parents, on how their kids feel. Ten exercises like The Compliment Game, Best Self and The Positivity Journal are all geared to promote overall self -esteem to help be on a positive path to Confidence.
