Last week, Nick Kroll appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote his new Netflix show Big Mouth. The show is about those awkward puberty years and he’s calling out to celebrities to share their own photos from those awkward times. For every photo posted, Colbert has offered to donate $1000 from his Ben & Jerry’s AmeriCone Dream fund to Puerto Rico disaster relief.
Well….the celebs did not disappoint:
Last night, Colbert counted up the pictures and announced a grand total donation of $233,000. But it didn’t end there. Nick Kroll called in and added $100,000, then Colbert’s network CBS agreed to match that total bringing it to $660,000. Then Colbert added $266,000 in honor of all the non-celebs who posted their #PuberMe photos. Kroll kicked in another $67,000 on top of that, bringing the total to $999,000. To bring the total to an even million, Hamilton creator Lin Manuel-Miranda (who has family in Puerto Rico) showed up with an awkward #PuberMe video, bringing the total donation to:
1 Million Dollars!
