Downtown Dog lovers will love it. Their pet-pooches will have a special place to play. The city has spent the past several weeks and 300 thousand dollars to create BONNYCASTLE DOG PARK. The .15 hectare section along Assiniboine near Garry opened today. The park includes perimeter fencing as well as separate fenced –off areas divided to small and larger dogs.
Other features include dog “furniture”/agility elements, lights, signage, park furniture for people, and waste receptacles. A granular path along the interior of the fence and tree and shrub planting around the edge of the new off-leash enclosure will complete the design. Our Dog loving Mayor calls the dog-park another amenity helping enhance our downtown! Here’s a view from above!
