This should be a real treat for families this Holiday Season. ICE CASTLES being built at the Forks. The Utah-Based company doing the work explains the creations as a labor of love. Ice artisans have been spending weeks working ten hour days and facing the problem of above zero temperatures.
COLDER Weather is needed to grow and harvest tens of thousands of icicles, which are shaped and hand placed onto existing formations before getting sprayed by water. When all is said and done, the effect is a breathtaking work of art, some of which spirals 40 feet high. Various coloured LED lights have been embedded which in turn are set to a musical soundtrack at night. The acre-sized Ice Castles are said to come to life giving all of us yet another reason to enjoy the Magic of Winter at The Forks.
