Two hours before the puck drops , Winnipeg will pack Donald for the first Winnipeg Whiteout Street Party. Never mind the weather, the city will shut the street down between Portage and Graham so Jets Fans can get into the spirit for game one of the playoffs.
Two large screens to provide all the action from inside BellMTSPlace. Food trucks have been stocked up for an expected crowd of thousands. Booze will also be available for those who wish it. True North claims it will give the best fans in the NHL the party they deserve with an atmosphere described as “once in a generation”.
Another reason to be there is the fact CBC is NOT carrying the game. Unless you get Sportsnet , you’ll not get to watch game one at home. If you do , then rest easy , because that network has made the Jets-Wild series a priority.
