EMERGENCY Alerts begin this week. Manitoba hears it this Wednesday!

Our SMARTPHONES will send a special sound this Wednesday at 1.55 pm. It’s Canada’s new public emergency alert system. These are test signals which have already been heard across Ontario and Quebec, and will be heard again this Wednesday , on every mobile device connected to an LTE network in other provinces. TV and radio stations will also will send the Alert.

The  system known as ALERT READY  is  controlled by emergency management officials whose purpose is to warn us of critical and possibly life- threatening threats ; Fire , Natural , Biological , Environmental , Hazardous , Civil or Terrorist Threats.

If you hear this tone on television, radio or your wireless device, please pay attention and take action right away.
