Ukraine is celebrated this Mother’s Day at Jubilee Auditorium!
This SUNDAY is Mother’s Day and many mom’s will be in the audience to watch their children dance in the 46th annual Selkirk and District Ukrainian School of Dance recital taking place at MBCI’s posh Jubilee Auditorium
Dance officials explain this as a showcase of seasons. A walk though a year in Ukraine featuring sights and sounds of that country. You’ll delight in the various costumes , dances and traditions endemic to the land.
Each season and region brings its’ own definitive aspects. Fall, winter, spring and summer featured through various age groups and skills. Dances with names like Pryvit, , Kozachok ,Volyn , Polissian Tanets, Kalyna and many others including the rousing Hopak , which has everyone clapping! Let this be your invitation to bring Mother to relax in a very comfortable theatre , and enjoy the dancers show you some of Ukraine’s beautiful culture. I’ve been invited to MC so naturally am biased. See you Sunday. Tickets at the door. You’ll love it!
