TODAY Manitoba High School Students are taking action for Human Rights. 75 high school students from across Manitoba have gathered at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in support of LGBTQ , Refugees and Newcomers to Manitoba.
The event is titled,“ I Have to Be Me”, and is in partnership with Pride Winnipeg to ensure that Canada and Manitoba remain open and welcoming. City and rural students will discuss the situation for LGBTQ people and hear from a panel of LGBTQ refugees and newcomers to Manitoba. All aspects of inclusion, respect and resiliency will be discussed. Learn more at www.marl.mb.ca.
