Is Die Hard A Christmas Movie?
What’s your favourite Christmas movie? If you said “Die Hard”, Bruce Willis has some disappointing news for you.
At his Comedy Central roast over the weekend, he used his time on the mic to set the record straight on one of his most famous movies.
“Die Hard is not a Christmas movie!” he declared of the 1988 classic.
When asked how fans of the film might react to his position, Willis told reporters after the roast, “We’ll see.”
Although if you still want to cling to “Die Hard is a Christmas movie”, you have some back up from the movie’s co-writer Steven E. de Souza. He weighed in on the debate last year.
Yes, because the studio rejected the Purim draft #DieHardIsAChristmasMovie

What do you think? Is Die Hard a Christmas movie? It does take place over Christmas, but was released in July, so I can see the merits on both sides. I’m going to say although it isn’t the typical “warm” and “fuzzy” Christmas movie, it takes place at Christmas so it qualifies.
