I will admit it. I struggled to stay on track yesterday. It was Super Bowl Sunday and everyone was planning their celebrations around sinfully delicious snacks and, after having just won the silver medal at the Winnipeg Rowing Club‘s Indoor Rowing Media Challenge (with the help of the amazing David Pestrak!), I was feeling like I DESERVED to cheat on my nutrition plan (I’d say my “Pushups 2 Pinups” nutrition plan but, fact is, I’ve adopted this Paleo eating as a style for my lifestyle) …
I wanted all of the beer and wings and nachos and conqueso dip and, and, and… Thankfully, I’ve got the support of my Aspire Fitness #FitFam and some REALLY supportive friends (Kim Brennan, I’m lookin’ at YOU <3 ) I ended up going home and making a healthier version of the chicken wings I was craving. I enjoyed them more than I would have enjoyed the ones that would have set me back and, BONUS, I had delicious leftovers for lunch today!
