I’m not much on surveys but this is one i’ll take part in . This artists’ conception is a new proposed ,Walk/Bike bridge . If these activities are part of your life-style then read on. The city is committed to building a pedestrian and cycling network for people of all ages and abilities but need your input this THURSDAY !
The design is for a NEW , Walk/Bike bridge , over the Assiniboine to connect Osborne Village with our downtown. Future cycling routes for Osborne Village would then be explored, connecting with the Osborne Rapid Transit Station , Norwood Bridge , as well as Bike lanes on Nassau and the Riverwalk.
It’s a two hour process at the Guild Hall in Augustine United on River Avenue at 6pm this Thursday. Presentations will first be heard followed by small group discussions . If walking, cycling or both are of interest , then your input will help formulate a better plan. To fill out the online survey and access information visit winnipeg.ca/WalkBikeProjects. RSVP to city-Engage@winnipeg.ca or call 204-986-4243. Come and make an investment in making your Winnipeg a Walk/Bike Friendly city!
