Goldeyes 25th Anniversary Luncheon
On Thursday, July 12 at noon the Winnipeg Goldeyes will stage its 25th Anniversary Luncheon at The Fairmont Hotel in downtown Winnipeg.
Featuring former Goldeyes Field Manager and Major Leaguer, Hal Lanier, the luncheon will honour both Hal and the Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation while celebrating 25 years of Goldeyes Baseball. The entire roster of current Goldeyes players will be joined by Goldeyes alumni at the luncheon.
Hosting the event and sharing their unique brands of humour will be Brody Jackson from QX 104 and Tom McGouran from 94-3 The Drive.
A “Baseball Hot Stove” will include two Goldeyes Radio Broadcasters from past and present.
Paul Edmonds will join Steve Schuster as they share stories about Goldeyes history with Goldeyes Field Manager, Rick Forney and Hal Lanier whose jersey #22 will be retired at the Goldeyes game later that evening at Shaw Park.
Sponsored by Manitoba Pork and Peak of the Market, guests can look forward to a delicious luncheon prepared by the Fairmont Winnipeg’s Executive Chef Tim Palmer and his team of culinary heartists. On the menu, for starters, you will be tantalized with a salad of handpicked baby lettuce, clementine oranges, crumbled feta and finished off with their very own roof top herb vinaigrette; followed by an entree highlighting fresh local ingredients including herb mustard crusted Manitoba pork loin, roasted Manitoba red jacket potatoes, garlic fried kale, roasted carrots and seeded mustard jus; and to conclude, a delectable selection of sweet confections.
Everyone in attendance will receive a limited-edition 25th Anniversary Commemorative Coin courtesy of ABC Fire & Safety. A silent auction of sports memorabilia and a table auction will take place with proceeds going to the Field of Dreams Foundation.
